Curriculum

Children are at the heart of everything that we do at St. John's and St Peter's CE Academy.

Our curriculum is designed for our pupils here in Ladywood and has been adapted and tailored to meet their specific needs. Our children study the full curriculum with a broad range of subjects which reflects the school’s local context. Units of study and topics are carefully sequenced across a year group, an academic year and a key stage to ensure as much learning is retained as possible. Educational visits are also linked to our curriculum to give pupils experiences outside of school and enrich their cultural capital. Our Curriculum is also underpinned by our new school Vision and Values, which says:

"Through high-quality education and an enriching curriculum, we will equip every child with the knowledge and skills they need to overcome challenges and therefore achieve their full potential."
